What is VESA?

A great number of TV screens and computer monitors are compliant with the VESA standard. It stands for Video Electronic Standards Association, and is a consortium of video adapter and monitor manufacturers founded in 1989. See www.vesa.org for further information.

The VESA standard relates to the hole pattern on the back of the screen: 4 holes spaced either 75mm x 75mm, 100mm x 100mm, 100mm x 200mm or 200mm x 200mm, each taking a 4mm screw. All our solutions are compatible with one or more of these standards and a Universal Plasma Mount (MSPW02) is available for large screens.

If you have a LCD, TFT, or Plasma screen, then it is very likely you will find this pattern on the back. The holes may be centred or located near the bottom of the screen.
